STUDIO
Surrounded by the beautiful mountains and vineyards of north Georgia, 460 Sound Studios is near Cleveland GA. It is about an hour’s drive from Atlanta and much of north its north metro area including, Gwinnett, Norcross, and Marietta as well as Athens. We are also an easy drive for many areas in North and South Carolina as well as Tennessee. For out-of-area clients easy access is available via Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and several smaller regional airports. By policy we do not publish our address on the website, instead, the address is provided at booking; this allows us to provide privacy for our clients. We welcome guests who schedule an appointment to evaluate the studio for suitability for their project.
Rural White County is a place of great beauty with few neighbors and a calm atmosphere. The area is home to a growing number of quality vineyards and breweries as well as the popular town of Helen. Inside the studio we provide high speed cable internet, clean power, good coffee and a fridge for lunches, snacks, and drinks. Outside we provide clean air and a natural setting perfect for inspiring creativity and re-charging your mind and soul.
Parking is easy and ample as is access for unloading and loading gear. Extra-large instruments can be loaded through a 48″ door to the main tracking area (42″ clear opening), and just about anything else (including a concert grand piano) can be brought into the studio via the Sound Locks (which have a standard commercial clear opening of 36″ entering the Live Room).
If you are visiting for the first time, please enter through the side entrance, up the stairs. Our studio can comfortably host visitors in our Loft in the Live Room or on our outdoor Patio. If you are visiting online, check out our Tracking Rooms, and Control Room.
As we stated above, for client privacy we don’t publish our address on the website, but generally we are 25 minutes north of Gainesville, 25 minutes east of Cumming, and 45 minutes west of Athens. We have ample parking and can accommodate full-sized school or touring buses. Contact Us to schedule a visit and get exact directions.
